Govt to bear expenses of Reshma�s treatment
President Zardari lauds contribution of singer Reshma in promoting Pakistan�s culture and music.
Islamabad (Online) - President Asif Ali Zardari, Wednesday, said that the federal government would bear all the expenses incurred on medical treatment of renowned folk singer Reshma, who is undergoing treatment at a local hospital in Lahore.
The President while lauding the invaluable contributions of Reshma in promoting Pakistan’s culture and music said that Reshma through her folk singing introduced the rich culture of Pakistan in the world.
The President said that the Government of Pakistan values Reshma’s contribution and would do its utmost for her medical treatment.
The President directed the relevant authorities for providing every possible assistance and best medical treatment to Reshma. The President also prayed for her early recovery.
It may be mentioned that the President had already authorized a stipend of Rs.10, 000/- per month to Reshma.
